Rail Radio Tonight - WSOP roundup

As we're still right in the middle of the summer, I expect a fairly low number of Belgian runners in the Warmup, starting in about 20 minutes.

Who's playing ? Please let me know, and I'll start to rail you guys from around 9pm.
I'll also keep an eye on the Belgian//Netherlands $1000 freeroll, and the $1.10 $1000 added for belgians and dutchies, starting at 7.30pm and 8pm.

Main topic for tonight is the WSOP wrap up. Players, results, funny facts, ...

As always, your input is welcome and greatly appreciated (Ares@pokerbrothers.be or directly on skype 'pokerbrothers').

Should be live at latest around 9pm.

Main Event Newsflash - Less than 75 players remaining

Phil Ivey has been on a gigantic roller coaster. On Day five, he was down to a mere 245k, while he now has a stack around 6 million. This puts Ivey currently in fifth place, followed by Antonio Esfandiari, who's around 5.6 million. The chipleader, Darvin Moon has over 9 million.

Dennis Philips (from the november nine from last year), astonished his opponents with a few four and five bets, taking down huge pots preflop.

A few notable eliminations: Noah Boeken, Peter Eastgate, Julien Brecard (he used to organizes walloon events for Everest in Belgium). No news about Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, but I'm afraid he's been eliminated as well.

Rail Radio - Last week & Preview tonight

I just uploaded last week's broadcast, you can find the link on the menu (right).

Because of the summer period, and the fact that many belgians are still in Vegas to witness the last days of this years World Series of Poker, we haven't seen too many tournament players last week.

If you're playing a Sunday Major on Pokerstars (the Warmup, the Million or the $109R), please let me know at Ares@pokerbrothers.be.

Tonight's show will start around 9pm, if there are enough Belgian participants to ensure the necessary online poker fireworks.

Main Event - Day 2B Ends

By my knowledge, no real belgians played day 2B. But there was Marc Naalden, the dutch player living in Antwerp. He managed to survive day 2B, but his stack is below average, around 60k.

Among the big guns who survived day 2B are Phil Hellmuth, Phil Ivey, Justin Bonomo and Jennifer Harman.

Today, there's a break in the main event. The largest poker tournament in the WORLD continues on Friday.

Rooting for all Belgians in Main Event Day 2

Today is the day that will separate the boys from the men. True, these guys already survived day one, but so did 75% of the field (on average).

Laurensds (Laurens De Smet), Riverlex (Alexander Beeckx), Grindintroo (Mathias De Meulder), SpaceyFCB (Kenny Hallaert), Yves Desmoort (neophrak) are the names to watch out for.

There's a whole dutch/belgian crew of pokernews present, so they're sure to serve us with updates in due time.

Adding the Rail Radio status to your own website

It's now possible to add the status of the rail radio to your own website. In this way, you don't need to check this site every time you want to know what's going on with the radio.

Basically, you need to integrate the page:

If you integrate the status in your own website, let us know, we'll make sure to mention your website in the next broadcasts.

Main Event - Belgian Day 1A Survivors

The Belgian Main event participants did particularly well in day 1A of the main event.

Riverlex, Smetje and Mathias De Meulder managed to get to day 2, with decent chipstacks. No exact news on their hands.

Kenny Hallaert was on a roller coaster, getting high as 50k chips, and falling back to 35k when his set was crushed by a straight on the river.

Less fortunate was Davidi Kitai, who didn't manage to survive day 1.

We're rooting for all belgians in the largest poker tournament worldwide.
